I am a post-doc in the ILCC, Informatics Forum, working for Prof Frank Keller. Before that, I did my PhD (and a year and a half post-doc) with Prof Mike Chantler and Prof Patrick Green at the Texture Lab, Heriot-Watt University. My Phd investigated human search strategies and modelled the results using LNL-based, and stochastic models.

My research interests cover inter-disciplinary work in human visual perception, computer vision, texture analysis and pattern recognition, measurement of appearence, visual saliency, visual search, defect detection, machine learning, etc. I am currently working on the SynProc (synchronous processing) project which is investigating how to combine visual and linguistical cues.
