Lauriston Castle - home of Edinburgh Croquet Club

The Edinburgh Croquet Club plays in this magnificent setting, overlooking the Firth of Forth, at Lauriston Castle, Cramond Road South.  (Click on the images to enlarge.)

The first of the two panoramic views below shows the lawns as they were in March 2003.  The second shows them on 13 March 2004 with levelling work in progress on lawn 2 (centre) and on the north edge of lawn 1 (to the left).  The newly levelled lawns came into use during the 2005 season.

For more information on the castle see here.  Public transport information is available from Lothian Buses. This map shows the location of the lawns.
