My name is Korin Richmond. I am a researcher at the Centre for Speech Technology Research in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh.

Brief history

I did an undergraduate masters degree at the University of Edinburgh, with joint honours in Linguistics and Russian. Following this, I did an MSc in Cognitive Science and Natural Language Processing, and then a PhD on the topic of the inversion mapping, again both at the University of Edinburgh. Since finishing my PhD, I've been a member of CSTR working on a variety of research projects to do with speech and language processing. So, it seems I like Edinburgh - well, it is a fantastic city, and Informatics/CSTR is an excellent academic environment.
