Current Project

Personification Using Affective Speech Synthesis

I am currently CSO of edinburgh based text to speech company Cereproc and I have a Royal Society Industrial Fellowship currently supporting my research at the University of Edinburgh. The project personify is investigating the relationship between expressive speech synthesis and the ability to create a sense of personality and presence in embodied conversational agents. I am local PI for the Reel Lives EPSRC project which aims to turn a user's digital footprint into a filmic medium to help a user control, interpret and share their personal data.
