Accommodation
Edinburgh is a tourist city and there are many Hotels and B&Bs,
including many close to the city. Some suggestions are as follows:
- The Premier
Inn on
Lauriston Place, half a mile from the Informatics Forum, and
with very good tripadvisor reviews (about £80-85 for our dates).
- The
Edinburgh City Hotel at Lauriston Place,
again about half a mile
from the Forum (about £120 per night for our dates).
- There are collections of B&Bs in the Minto St area about
a mile away (and other areas of course) that can be booked at
booking.com
- The
Hotel
Ceilidh-Donia about a mile from the Informatics Forum, has
been a favourite with
some of our seminar speakers over the years (about £75-£80
for our dates).
- For students who are looking for a cheap option,
Argyle
Backpackers hostel is about half a mile from our venue (about
£15 per night for our dates).
- If looking to push the boat out,
Southside
Guest House is beautiful, about a mile from our venue (about
£150 for most of our nights).
