eSkel

NB these pages concern an older, experimental, unmaintained version of eSkel. You should almost certainly be looking at the new, improved eSkel homepage.

eSkel is a library which offers a range of skeletal parallel programming constructs to the experienced C/MPI programmer.

The current implementation is very preliminary and you should not yet trust it for serious applications programming. Equally, I would be very pleased if you would read about it, and even better try it out, then let me know what you think. With your interest, and hopefully some financial support, it will be possible to build a much more robust version.

Please note that the current API contains only a subset of the skeletons which I eventually intend to implement. Think of it as a proof-of-concept prototype. I would be interested to know what you think is missing (even the "obvious" things).
