I joined the School of Informatics in September 2004 where I lead the Agents Group and have until recently been Director of the Centre for Intelligent Systems and their Applications. Before that, I completed my PhD in Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich, and my first degree at the University of Saarbruecken. My research is mainly in agents and multiagent systems, but I'm applying it increasingly to systems where most of the agents are humans these days. I have (co-)authored over 90 peer-reviewed papers and have served on the committees of over 90 international events and regularly review for major journals and international funding bodies.
