Teaching

In the past, I have taught courses in experimental phonetics, acoustic phonetics, speech perception, prosody, and computational approaches to corpus work and discourse analysis. These days, I do not teach formal classes anymore, but I am available for (co-)supervising Honours, M.Sc. and MA theses.

Personal

I have a daughter, Ruth Iona, born August 8, 2005. In my spare time, I read and blog. Exciting life, isn't it?

How to find me

I work part-time: Monday afternoons, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Friday mornings.

For visitors

Come to 2, Buccleuch Place and up to the second floor. Ring the bell on the right hand door (signs say "Centre for Speech Technology Research"). Inside the door, first door on the right, you will find the CSTR admin office - someone there will phone me and I will come to collect you.

For local people

My office is in 5 Buccleuch Place, third floor left, room 2. I share my office with Matthew Aylett.
