- the RASCAL project (Integrating Social and Representational Aspects of Problem Solving Across the High
School Curriculum. This project was funded under the
Cognitive Studies for Educational Practice (CSEP) program of the James S. McDonnell Foundation.
- An EPSRC funded visual programming project called "The
match-mismatch conjecture and learning to use data-flow visual
programming languages" (GRIP).
- the `Innovation' project which is funded under the
ESRC Innovation theme
and which is examining the training implications for companies of
business innovations such as Statistical Process Control (SPC).The
final report is now available as Hewson, Cox and Stenning 'A Study of
SPC Training needs in small and medium UK companies' may be ftp'd from
the graphics and
language working group's public ftp area (see hcrc_rp89.ps).
- Vicarious Learning Project - here are some sample instructional
student-tutor dialogues on the topic of discourse representation
structure (DRS) that were produced for that project (Quicktime). The
project was funded under the ESRC
- Evaluation of the Intelligent
Labelling Explorer on the
ILEX project.
- From 1991-1995, I worked on the SIGNAL
project. One aspect of SIGNAL studied how students learn with Hyperproof,
a Mac program for teaching first order logic developed
at CSLI, Stanford.
