- Predicting the enzymatic function of proteins using machine learning. Using multi-label and active learning.
- Semantic wikis for data curation (I supervised Master projects on data curation and update), using our Edinburgh Human Metabolic Network as use case.
- TaWeka: is my Java application that bridges between web services (Taverna) and machine learning (Weka)
- Collaboration with the Genomic Sciences Center at RIKEN, Yokohama, Japan. For them I wrote Ants, a standalone and Cytoscape plugin that finds shortest paths in networks
