Paolo Besana
I am currently working on the Safe and Sound project, one of the grand challenges within the Information-Driven Health Initiative funded by EPSRC. Previously, between October 2006 and July 2008, I worked for the OpenKnowledge project: I was part of the developers group that implemented an open Peer-to-Peer framework based on interaction models sharing.
I hold a PhD in Informatics from the University of Edinburgh. The focus of my PhD, completed under the supervision of Dave Robertson and Michael Rovatsos, was verifying how the use of interaction models, or choreographies, in heterogeneous multi-agent systems can simplify the problem of dynamic ontology mapping.
My research interests concentrate on dynamic service composition and coordination in open distributed environments.
