Tobias Edler von Koch

I'm a PhD student in the Compiler and Architecture Design Group, Institute for Computing Systems Architecture at the University of Edinburgh's School of Informatics. My supervisor is Björn Franke.

 

My research is funded jointly by a SICSA Prize Studentship and The Principal's Career Development Scholarship.

 

Research Interests

My main research interests lie in the area of compilers for modern parallel architectures. In particular, I am working on the automated extraction of structured parallelism from sequential applications.
I am also interested in trace-based Just-In-Time compilation; architectural simulation; and compact code generation for embedded architectures.
