I recently graduated from a PhD in Informatics at the Institute for Computing Systems Architecture (ICSA) of the School of Informatics of the University of Edinburgh, where I was supervised by Björn Franke. I'm a member of the Compiler and ARchitecture Design group (CARD) of ICSA and a student member of the European Network of Excellence on High Performance and Embedded Architecture and Compilation (HiPEAC).

Research

My research has been focusing on compiler-driven data layout transformations for network applications.

About Me

I started my PhD at the University of Edinburgh in November 2007. Before that I've worked for five years in Zurich, Switzerland, first as a mobile software developer at LogObject AG for three years and then for two years at Esmertec AG where I was involved in the development of the Jbed Java compilers and virtual machine.
I graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ) in Zurich with a degree in computer science in 2002.
