Presently I am a PhD student in School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh. I am also a member of Laboratory for Foundation of Computer Science (LFCS) over here. Before I come here I did my BE ( Bachelor of Engineering ) in Electrical Engineering from Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur, India, in the year of 2007. After that I finished my MTech ( Master of Technology ) in Computer Science from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India, in the year of 2009. Currently I am doing my research mainly on Computational Complexity Theory under the supervision of Rahul Santhanam.  I am also a member of Algorithms and Complexity Group and Probabilistic Methods reading group here in LFCS. My PhD research is related to different aspects of Theoretical Computer Science, like Parametrized Complexity, Cryptography, Structural Complexity, Probabilistic methods and modelling, Randomized Algorithm, Game Theory etc. 

I don't want to make you feel boring talking about my academic interests any more. Sports and Movies  are two of my biggest passions. Cricket, Football, table tennis, badminton, cards, computer games, even silly online games, I like them all both watching and playing. I am a huge fan of any kind of First Person Shooter games. I have finished more than 50 FPS games despite of not having any hifi gaming configuration in my systems. Other than this, I enjoy reading fiction, listening to nice music, staying back home and doing nothing. Besides, I spend a significant amount of time Googling and cultivating these various interests of mine. For past few years, I am taking a serious interest in photography as well.
