I am pursuing my PhD in Informatics from the University of Edinburgh, School of Informatics under the supervision of Murray Cole. I am a member of the Institute for Computing Systems Architecture (ICSA) . Within ICSA I work in the Structured Parallelism Group and collaborate with the Compiler and Architecture Design Group. Prior to my post graduate studies, I have worked as a software engineer for over two years at MICROSOFT India (R&D) developing .NET applications and providing MS CRM 4.0 customizations.
Research Interests
  • Auto-tuning High Level Parallel Programming Models and application of Machine learning techniques for Auto-tuning.
  • Parallel Programming Models and Patterns (Skeletons) for Heterogeneous computing, especially GPGPU.
  • Wavefront Computation on massively parallel (many-core) architectures.
  • Parallel Programming languages and frameworks.
A sample Map Reduce Skeleton built using Intel Threading Building Blocks can be downloaded here (password - tudela) : MapReduce.zip

MSc Thesis
  • Task Farm Optimization through Machine Learning [PDF]
This project explored possibilities of setting the optimal number of worker processes in a task farm algorithmic skeleton through machine learning techniques, for a combination of high level input features.
