I am a third year PhD student at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh (UoE). I'm working with Dr. Mahesh Marina at the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Pervasive Parallelism. Earlier, I obtained my Masters (by research) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, India in 2015. During my MS, I worked with Prof. C. Siva Ram Murthy on resource management in 4G/LTE networks. I obtained my Bachelors from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur, India in 2010 in Computer Science and Engineering. I have also worked as a Software Engineer with Samsung Software Engineering Lab, Noida for nearly two years.
- My primary interest lies in advancing the state of the art in mobile in wireless networks, focussing on the use of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligenc for 5G.
- I am also interested in mobile data analytics understanding social, geographic and economic effects of mobile data usage. I believe that such a characterization could further be used to optimize mobile networks.
- I am interested in privacy aspects of data analysis, enabling the privacy preserving data to be published for learning aggregate system statistics. I am exploiting Differential Privacy and k-Anonymity based mechanisms for imparting privacy in the user mobility data.
