The next meeting of the DEGAS (Design Environments for Global ApplicationS) project will be held on 1st and 2nd September 2004 in London, England. This meeting is the final planned meeting of the project before the end-of-project review at the ETAPS conference in Edinburgh, Scotland in April 2005.

The DEGAS project is funded under the IST Programme - FET pro-active initiative VI.2.2 "Global computing, cooperation of autonomous and mobile entities in dynamic environments".

Venue
Imperial College, South Kensington

The venue for the meeting is Room 227 in the Skempton Building (Department of Civil Engineering), Imperial College Road, South Kensington, London. The Skempton Building is highlighted in red in the map below. This map shows the South Kensington campus of Imperial College.

Accommodation

Imperial College has conference accommodation near to its South Kensington campus in Beit Hall. This is the most reasonably-priced accommodation near to the meeting venue. Most South Kensington hotels are much more expensive than this.

We have booked a table at Cafe Flo for dinner on the evening of Wednesday 1st September at 8:00. Cafe Flo is a French restaurant located at 25-35 Gloucester Road.

Social event

On the second day of the DEGAS meeting Tom Cruise was in London to promote his new movie Collateral at the premiere in Leicester Square, London. The photograph below shows Mikael Buchholtz standing behind Tom, camera in hand.

Facilities
