During and after my PhD, it has generated a
number of external grants, which include:
1999: (SFI)Santa Fe Institute
Fellowship in Computational
Modelling and Complexity. Santa Fe, New Mexico. Intensive and
challenging summer program sponsored by Coopers & Lybrand, L.L.P.
which enabled discussions with international experts in the field and
wide exposure of academic PhD work related to modelling artificial and
real stock markets
2000: (ETF)
Edinburgh
Technology Fund's early seed funding, for £10,000. This
grant enabled some advances in commercial and technical developments of
a Java version of the LETS system (Learning and Evolutionary Trading
System). The work was carried out by Jackson Pauls and myself, at
Edinburgh University, Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute
(AIAI)
2003: (POC)
Proof

Enterprise for the amount of ~£173,000ending in
November 2004. I acted as the Principal

Investing . When we can afford them, we
love
buying properties and stocks
Bodybuilding. We
like bodybuilding in the natural way (no banned chemicals or
supplements involved), training, nutrition and supplementation. We
train at the Next
Generation Clubs in Edinburgh. In some early competitive activities
in the bodybuilding world I took part of, in 1998 I was awarded first
place and overall title in the Physique, Under 52kgs class of the ANB
Scottish Championships of Natural Bodybuilding. Then I got 3rd place at
the GREAT BRITAIN in the same year, and again in 2000. More info in my bodybuilding
page
SCUBA Diving. I am a NAUI Open Water Diver. However, I haven't done any diving lately, but I still
like it
I also love medicine and all sort of medical
documentaries
Very surprisingly, at times this page has been
rated amongst the top UK sites
on
bodybuilding, and has somehow motivated over a hundred people to start
training more seriously, to learn about nutrition, how to keep
a
healthy lifestyle combining well balanced foods and moderate exercise,
or even to compete. I am grateful for that, and this has been the
reason for which I have decided to leave the page. It is only updated
every
once in a while.
Features general information about bodybuilding,
including links for those who wish to compete in the UK
I no longer compete; only train, but not really
regularly
The site includes a few photos of the 1998
Scottish Natural
Bodybuilding Competition, where I was lucky enough to get first place
in my class (under 52kgs) and to win the overall title as well. Also,
the 1998 British Championship, where I got 3rd place, and a couple of
photos from the 2000 British Championship where I got 3rd place again
