About Me

I am a postdoctoral research fellow in the school of informatics at University of Edinburgh, working with Prof. Robert Fisher. My research aims at new methods to recover 3D shape information of flying bats (Chiroptera) from high-speed stereo video recording. Such data represents many challenges in 3D computer vision, and the outcome of the research is expected to advance the state-of-the-art in 3D video technology.

Previously, I was a PhD student (supervised by Dr. J.Paul Sibert) and research assistant at Glasgow University. My PhD work applied topological techniques to problems in processing 3D human body scan data. After PhD, I worked on using stereo photogrammetry methods to reconstruct 3D virtual human skull and assess facial deformity after surgical repair.

I'm interested in computer vision, graphics, image analysis, and recently machine learning. You are welcome to write to me about questions in any of these domains.
