The code contained in this distribution was (unless otherwise noted,
e.g. testing/ls_logsumexp.m) written by Iain Murray. Most files
specify dates, and any other important details.

For some people having a formal license seems important, so I have
included a standard one below. Let me know if you need a different
license and I'll probably agree. The GPL version 2 or 3 is definitely
ok, although I'm pretty sure the license below would already allow
using those.

As most (all?) of these functions are small and really simple, I'm
