I am Professor of Quantitative Modelling in the School of Informatics
within the College of
Science and Engineering at
the University of Edinburgh.
I am a
Fellow of the Royal Society, Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and a Member of Academia Europaea.
I am a member
of the LFCS (Laboratory
for Foundations of Computer Science) in the School of
Informatics.
In 2004 I was the recipient of the first Roger Needham award and in 2018 I received a Suffrage Science Award. In 2023 I was awarded an MBE in the King's Birthday Honours and the Lovelace Medal of the British Computer Society.
