Information on the Venue: Edinburgh City Chambers

The workshop will be held in the Council Chamber of Edinburgh City Chambers. This building is situated on the High Street, less than 5 minutes' walk from Mylne's Court and immediately opposite St. Giles' Cathedral. Originally erected in Georgian style between 1753 and 1761 as the Royal Exchange, it was transferred to the Town Council for use as Council Chambers in 1811. An extension housing the present Council Chamber was completed in 1904. The interior is richly decorated with wooden panelling, stained glass and many fine paintings, including historic portraits.
