Javascript testing page

Isn't this really childish!?

This is a form that POSTs to test-cgi.

This input has javascript to call submit if things change

Now you see me

Some text effects: This is underlined.
This is Small Caps
This should be blinking.

Should be centered
Some text in a box, over on the right somehere? Or at least it should be. text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text

A bug/feature of mozilla/firefox? There should be three headings below, 1, 2 and 3, but the second is preceeded and ended in a comment line, check the source.

HEADING 1

HEADING 2

Does anything in here appear?

HEADING 3

No it's not a bug, it's just firefox/mozilla doing the correct thing with SGML comments. See: http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/SGMLComments.html#doubledash

Print test.

The following paragraph should come from an SSI include

This bit is a SSI include test. It contains the echo for the variable TEST it equals . Did anything appear?

But this is in the main file and contains some variable expansion. Yippee it Works.

Well was it there? This file needs to have a .shtml extension for this to work. Likewise this echo DATE_LOCAL will only work if we have the extension. The date and time here is: Saturday, 20-Apr-2024 08:42:33 BST

i = value="20/04/2024"
j = date

Where as just the date is: 20/04/2024

Can we insert this date into a form input field?

Some entity encoding <b>Bold Var</b>Default encoding
Bold VarNone encoding
<em>Emphasis Var</em>Entity enc

What about exec? Will this print the hostname? We probably don't want exec to work. Hostname = bahookievm.inf.ed.ac.uk

Now test some PHP, again this file needs to be a .phtml file.

"; readfile( "/etc/passwd" ); echo "

"; readfile( "/tmp/apache.file" ); echo "

"; readfile( "test.php" ); echo "

Did we get here?

"; # Apache logs "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b \"%{Referer}i\" \"%{User-agent}i\"" $h = getenv('REMOTE_ADDR'); $l = "-"; #should be user from ident $u = getenv('REMOTE_USER')?getenv('REMOTE_USER'):"-"; $t = date("m/M/Y:H:i:s O"); $r = getenv('REQUEST_METHOD')." ".getenv('REQUEST_URI'); $s = "-"; $b = 0; $referer = getenv('HTTP_REFERER'); $useragent = getenv('HTTP_USER_AGENT'); $logentry = "$h $l $u [$t] \"$r\" $s $b \"$referer\" \"$useragent\"\n"; echo "

The following information about your visit today has been logged\n
"; echo $logentry; # Note the log file below needs to be writeable by user "apache" error_log($logentry, 3, "/public/homepages/neilb/data/php.log"); ?>

This little dot has logged you too -> logging gif
