A prototype of a smart card operating system, which has the same structure as the real operating system. The prototype offers most of the functionality of the real system. The program comprises a card terminal emulator and can be executed to perform cryptographically secured card-terminal interactions for a real life card application. With the prototype implementation as reference, the reliability of the product implementation can be assessed in detail.
