Postdocs and Students

Jakub Piatkowski is working with Richard Phelps and I on a Renal Failure detection project.

Current PhD students include Colin Buchanan, Jinli Hu, Zhanxing Zhu, Ksenia Kuznetsova, Matthew Graham, Ben Pryke, Gavin Gray and Eleni Zarogianni. Harri Edwards is a CDT Data Science PhD student currently doing an MRes project with me. Previous group members include Felix Agakov, Peter Orchard, Simon Lyons, Jono Millin, Athina Spiliopoulou, Krzysztof Gorgolewski, David Reichert, Andrew Dai, Bessi Bjarnason, James Withers, Lawrence Murray, Tom Griffiths, Ben Williams and Jon Clayden. Krzysztof Geras worked with me on an extended masters project.

What's new (work)

We are organising a third deep learning workshop in Edinburgh: the Alan Turing Institute Deep Learning Workshop on November 25th 2015.

We have a promising new Computer Go playing method based around deep convolutional networks.
