Emacs Bits and Pieces

I use these bits and pieces with XEmacs, the world's best text editor. They're split into customizations, fixes. Take away anything you like, but watch for incompatibilities between XEmacs and GNU Emacs.

Customizations I like

If you like them too, copy into your `.emacs' file.

• Config for special frames (small frames for compile output, etc).
• Config for dired auto shell command (use with ! in a dired buffer). You also need a simple helper shell script, gztmp.

Fixes for various Emacs packages

Simply copy any of these you need into your `.emacs' file.
Watch out for upgraded versions of packages which may not need these patches!
