Computer Octi Players
These are the computer Octi programs that I am aware of:
- Jeff Bacher's program, which won the 2003 tournament, hangs
around as testme on the Octi Online server.
- Aaron Armading has an Octi for Kids program that you can
play online.
The tournament version of his program won the 2001 Computer 6x7 tournament.
- Charles Chiou's program won the 2001 Computer Octi tournament.
He has an SDK
to help people write Octi programs.
- The source code for an early version of my own program, Casbah is available. Casbah won the
2000 Octi tournament, and placed second in the 6x7 tournament the
next year.
- Charles III (a.k.a Hal9000) has an Octi-6x7 program for
download.
- Zillions of Games has
a game-general search algorithm, which plays many games,
including
Octi.
- Thomas Hallock has wrote an Octi-6x7 program in Haskell,
but it appears not to be online anymore.
- Jason Millard also wrote an Octi-6x7 program.
If you know of another program, please let me know.
