In order to keep things simple enough many aspects, especially those which are application specific, of deformable meshes have not been considered here. For more complete review of deformable meshes as well as their applications, good starting points are survey articles on deformable models such as [9] and [7]. Some schemes for deforming meshes in noisy conditions are compared in [13]. However, selecting or designing suitable deformable mesh model is always an application specific task, and therefore a general comparative study can at its best provide useful clues for the applicationist.
